i have had recurring dreams of losing my teeth since my brother died, when i was 18. i am now 35. In the dreams they have always rotted away or fallen away even though healthy. There has never been a consistent or particularly notable aspect of the dreams, other than the horrifying losing of the teeth. Sometimes there are intense spiritual rituals or meanings surrounding the loss. But for myself, & for the other people that i have had this same recurring dream, it is always associated with mortality. With someone else’s present or coming death, or one’s own.
i understand that the falling out of teeth are connected with life transitions. With growing from infant to child, from child to adult, and from adult to death. And i have had these dreams through many life & death transitions.

  • Thanks for sharing, Rebekah. I am particularly curious about the spiritual rituals surrounding your dreams.

As an aside, I’ve also heard healing practitioners say that teeth problems in dreams, particularly losing them, can signify calcium or mineral deficiencies.

This is most likely not true for all dreams of teeth. Of course, the only way to know for certain would be to go to doctor or health care practitioner.

It’s remarkable to me how one dream can help us in so many areas at once!
